Specialist, independent insurance broker, Country and Commercial Insurance Brokers Limited in Longridge, has this month launched a new and unique farm insurance policy, which provides the most comprehensive cover at the best possible price by hand-selecting the prime aspects of other policies and combining them into one.
CCIB is owned by Debbie Treacy and Anne Pickover, two local ladies who have both dedicated their professional lives to the insurance industry, both hail from farming backgrounds, putting them in the best position possible to understand their client’s needs.
It is this understanding, coupled with their dedication to customer service and their belief in traditional, face to face business relationships that has led to their success and the launch of this exclusive, new product.
With 50 per cent of their company’s business coming from the farming sector and having listened to and analysed the needs of each of their customers, Debbie and Anne realised that there was not one, singular product that covered all of the most important farming insurance needs, and so they set about the task of creating a one-for-all insurance policy.
Eighteen months later, their creation and style of working has proved to be so impressive, that CICL UK, part of Catlin Group Ltd, who control Catlin Underwriting Agencies Ltd, the largest syndicate at world renowned Lloyd’s of London, has agreed to underwrite the one-of-a-kind policy on CCIB’s behalf.
With CCIB’s own computerised system in place and their ability to hold the pen on Lloyd’s behalf, a quote for the policy can now be inputted and generated within just half an hour.
CCIB’s methods and personal service are clearly appealing to the local farms and businesses as they currently convert the majority of the customers that they visit. And, unlike many of their larger, national competitors, their high level of customer service doesn’t just end once the policy has been sold, as their insurance advisors arrange an annual visit with every client to review and renew their policy.
When Debbie and Anne established their company, they did so with the purpose of putting something back into the community, by offering local farmers and businesses an honest insurance broker that they could trust. Not only have they succeeded in doing this, but they have also managed to re-inject into insurance the all-important, personal approach that has been seemingly absent from the industry for quite some time.
Whether you are interested in their new farm insurance policy, another farming policy or a commercial insurance product for your business, CCIB’s small, expert team of six staff will be able to search the market to find the best deal for you.
Following your enquiry, an insurance advisor will make an appointment to visit you at a convenient time to discuss and analyse your needs, before carrying out a full market appraisal to present a full, independent range of options.
To find out more or to book an appointment with CCIB, please call 01772 780600 and one of their team will be happy to be of assistance.

This year The Insurance Institute of Preston & Blackpool dinner was a great success. The event was held at Ribby Hall in Wrea green with over 300 members attending for an evening of entertainment and dance. The President of The Chartered Insurance Institute attended Mr Barry Smith ACII, along with our own local president Mr Shaun Jackson MBA ACII. The event was sponsored by many insurers and brokers. Anne and Debbie were responsible for the dinner management, although a little challenging at times, came through with only minor cuts and bruises!
Once again CCIB Ltd supported both Garstang and Chipping Agricultural show’s this year, offering hospitality to existing clients and potential new clients. The show’s have been a great success and was enjoyed by staff, clients and friends. Our thanks go to our best brew boy Alan who supported on both days and worked relentless providing hot beverage, beer and wine for everyone.
